To enter the TPHC Western games, please either download the pdf file below, fill it in and bring to the grounds the day of the show or use the online form, submit and bring your money owed the day of the show.

Proper Attire:

Approved helmet or western riding hat if over 18 years of age.
Western boots with a heel, either pull on or lace up.
Western shirt either short sleeve or long sleeve.
Jeans of any color or any western style pants.
Belt with a buckle
Western style neck ties are optional.

Classes:

Barrel Racing
Pole Bending
Keyhole
Flag Race (youth and senior only)
Dash for Cash
3D Barrel Class (1D = Fastest Time of the Class, 2D = 1 second slower then fastest time, 3D = 2 seconds slower then fastest time.)
Futurity Barrels (EFuturity refers to horses four (4) or five (5) years of age in the current year as of Jan 1st that have never competed in a previous season. Competitors may be asked for proof of horses age)

Rules & Regulations:

  • In barrel racing and pole bending a knocked down barrel or pole will result in a five (5) second penalty.

  • In keyhole, flag and dash for cash, a knocked down barrel or pole will result in a disqualification.

  • Off course will result in disqualification.

  • WHEN THERE IS A KNOCK-DOWN IN THE 3D BARREL CLASS IT WILL RESULTS IN A DISQUALIFICATION.

  • The Judge or Organizers, at their discretion may disqualify a contestant or excessive use of spurs, bat, crop, whip or rope.

  • A drag will be done at the beginning of each class, and every seven (7) riders there after, with the exception of team barrels, where it will be done after six (6) riders or two (2) teams.

  • Competitors have a maximum of one (1) minute to enter the ring, after three calls within one minute time limit, the rider will receive disqualification.
